CWST-LS Series Quartz Piezoelectric Force Sensor


Introduction
      CWST-LS series quartz piezoelectric force sensor adopts piezoelectric effect of quartz, converts force into
charge. The charge is proportional to the measured force. Through charge amplifier, it can be transferred to voltage.
Then use a voltmeter or other monitor to read the data and change. Due to the high rigidity of quartz, the
displacement is very small under the force, which is usually within a few microns. This almost no displacement
measurement has small error for the slow quasi-static process. For the measurement of fast processes, due to the
quartz’s high stiffness and the associated natural frequency, its superiority is unmatched by other measurement
methods.
The products can be used to measure the dynamic, short-term static vibration and impact, the mechanical
structure’s tensile and compressive forces. When operating with exciter, it can measure and control the excitation
force. Operating with the accelerometer and velocity sensor, it can measure the mechanical impedance. This series
sensor is designed for press-fit, punching, torque and other occasions. CWST LS-01 is designed for punch press-fit
testing, with ultra-small structures and high precision. Quartz piezoelectric sensor is not suitable for long time pure
static force measurement, because its own insulation resistance, transmission cable resistance and the input
impedance of the amplifier can not be infinitely high. The lasting time of short time static measurement depends on
the insulation resistance of the sensor and low-noise connecting cable, and the input impedance of the charge
amplifier
